Home Investment Partnership (HOME) Programs
The City of Lathrop is offering HOME programs for income-qualified individuals or families to assist them towards their dream of home ownership or simply make much-needed home repairs.
The City of Lathrop’s HOME loan funds are administered by the San Joaquin County Neighborhood Preservation Division and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The following links provide more information on available programs for Lathrop residents:
GAP Loan Program (Down payment assistance)
Property Rehabilitation Program
The intent of the HOME Program is:
- To provide decent affordable housing to low-income households,
- To expand the capacity of nonprofit housing developers,
- To strengthen the ability of state and local governments to provide housing, and
- To leverage private-sector participation
Eligible activities include:
- Homeowner housing rehabilitation
- Homebuyer activities
- Acquisition, rehabilitation, or construction of rental housing
- Tenant-based rental assistance
- Other activities conducted in conjunction with the above activities, including acquisition of vacant land, site improvements, and refinancing
