I called the resident to get information about the street light. According to maps, there is a street light on the corner of TCD and Timber Creek, i thought it might be that light.
The resident confirmed its actually a light that is on Timber Creek, on the homeowners property.
I went ahead and left this as assigned to Code. These lights are not lights that the city maintains, these are privately owned lights and the resident should report this to their HOA.
Ken went out to inspect the area in question. He confirmed that there are no metal plates on the road, only a man hole cover. He drove over it and not much noise came from it. He said that there is a plan to repair the road on Louise Ave later this year.
I emailed the resident back and provided her the information, and asked her to reach out to me if she has any other questions.
I would like to follow up on the matter because it seems that the structure is now complete. I was kind of hoping that the City would put a stop construction, tell the owner what he can or cannot build, since a stop construction is a lot easier recourse than demolition or other options.
Per Lathrop's Municipal Code, 17.32.050.2.l, the structure is not allowed due to its failure to meet location, height, and setback requirements.
