Good Afternoon,
Tuesday evening I received a video of my son being jumped by other individuals at Valverde Park. The fight is very vicious, and hard to watch. The potential of harm for my son was very high, there is a point where he is being choked, and punched repeatedly on the ground, and 2 people attacking. I have reported this to the school as the teenagers involved are all students of Lathrop High School. I was told I would receive a call from the SRO, and/or the principal regarding the video- to which I have sent to all parties. I need assistance in this matter. The harassment is continuing on campus, and my child is afraid to walk home.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your request has been forwarded to the Watch Commander for review. In the future for faster response times please call the Non-Emergency Line at 209-249-1800. If you have questions or concerns please call the Lathrop Police Department at 209-647-6400.
