Hello,
As the first day of school approaches, I am concerned about the students who will be walking to the high school from the Mossdale neighborhoods. With the approaches many of them were taking through the field road now closed for construction that leaves them going through the Golden Valley and Spartan Way intersection.
My daughter is a freshman this year and will be walking or riding her bike this way. The past two years, I've been dropping her off at the high school for the music program. Knowing what the traffic is like in the morning at that intersection, I wondered if there are plans to have officers on site helping students at that location at least for a while. Not every vehicle goes through there carefully.
Thank you for all your service to our community. We've lived here for almost 11 years now and have always been very impressed with the safety of our community and diligence of the department. Thank you!!
