I would like to know if there is an ordinance regarding illegal dumping of trash.
My neighbor is dumping their trash in my trash bins not just once but a lot of times in the past. I was not sure before who is throwing their trash in my bins (though i suspected it was my neighbor) until I got an evidence last Saturday, August 15 that it was indeed my neighbor. I was about to throw recyclables in my bin and was suprised to find that it was already full. I checked and noticed items that were not there before. I found a shoe box with my neighbor's name and address on it! I also checked the other bin and I also found a trash bag that was not there before.
I put a label "It is illegal to dump your trash in someone else's bin" to deter my neighbor from doing it again. Guess what? I checked the bins again on Monday morning, and my neighbor did it again! They threw more trash, and they also removed the label I put on top of the bin! I found the label that was removed inside the bin.
This is an absolute disrespect and should not be tolerated. We pay for the services and yet the space that we need for our trash is occupied by the trash of others. Please let me know if there is an existing ordinance so I know the actions to take.
Contacted citizen for violation address. Informed them that their request was received and forwarded to the Code Compliance Supervisor for review. City of Lathrop has initiated the Code Compliance process and ticket is now closed.

Please let me know if you need proof (of dumping of trash into my bins by my neighbor.) I have photos (a box with my neighbor's name and address) and videos.
