Hello,
My name is Ahmad Patang and I currently live at 283 Lazy Ridge Ave, Lathrop, CA 95330. I wanted to reach out regarding a couple of concerns I have and an on going issue that is occurring on the streets of Lazy Ridge Ave and American Farms Ave. As you guys may know the street width of Lazy Ridge Ave is approx. 30 feet wide. When there are vehicles parked a long the north and south curb line of the street, which there is 99% of the time, it makes it a very small street to drive through. An ongoing problem I have seen occur is due to vehicles being parked a long the south and north curb line, when there are two vehicles driving through the street at the same time going opposite directions, one vehicle has to either pull over or reverse their vehicle down the street so the other vehicle can pass due to the street not being wide enough that both vehicles can pass through.
Another on going problem I see is when vehicles turn into Farm House Rd from Brookhurst Blvd to enter Lazy Ridge Ave there are vehicles parked a long the east and west curb line. When turning into Farm House Road from Brookhurst Blvd it is a huge blind spot because you cannot see the vehicles coming from the opposite direction until you complete the turn due to the vehicles parked on the east and west curb line.
My concern for both of these issues is I have seen it where multiple times a day a vehicle collision almost occurred due to the blind spots or someone having to reverse down the street to let another vehicle pass by. It also creates a huge hazard for the children who play in the neighborhood because when making turns onto the street there is blind spots due to the vehicles being parked on the curb.
I am hoping the city looks into this and creates a solution for this problem. In my opinion there should be no vehicles allowed to park along any curb line in the neighborhood due to the concerns I have stated above. I would love to have an opportunity to chat with you guys and looking forward to hearing from you guys soon.
