Hello, I am reporting a concern regarding my neighbors trees on 482 and 410 Aztec Lane.  Both neighbors have trees that shed extremely many leaves on the sidewalk and on the street.  Unfortunately, my mother who is almost 80 years old is always picking up after my neighbors by sweeping up the leaves so the leaves do not blow on our side by the wind.  City code states that residents are responsible for picking up the leaves their trees shed.  But this is not the case because they prefer to have an elderly woman do it instead.  This can be easily prevented by trimming the trees down where the leaves that shed well fall in the  residential home only or they can pick up the leaves by sweeping them up like my mother has been doing for the past years since 1982 when she first moved into the house on Aztec.

Hello Frank,

Thank you for bringing this to the City's attention. After doing some research I was able to find that Lathrop Police CSO's have visited 482 and 410 Aztec Lane on a report of excessive leaves on the ground. The CSO's did not see any violation of excessive leaves on the ground when they went out to those addresses. Unfortunately, there is no Municipal Code that clearly states the resident is responsible for picking up the leaves their trees shed.

Thank you for submitting your concern,

Angelina Moreno, CSO ADMIN
