In the past it was against city code/policy to park vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. on the lawn or dirt in front of a house.

With it being widely known that the city does not actively have their people get out of the office and go out checking to make sure codes are being followed/enforced, and that most everything is driven by a complaint, here is a complaint.

At 404 J St., the South East corner of J St. and Cambridge Dr., the house there has anywhere from 2-3 cars parked on the front yard daily. Not only is this against published city codes, it is also an eyesore and makes the area look rundown and unkept.

If it is in fact against city codes and a parking violation, please talk to the residents and inform them of the code to stop further violations.

(Now with the recent release of information about street repaving within the city and the no street parking from 6:00am to 6:00pm daily, it is completely understandable the city code could/should be overlooked for a couple of weeks, until the road repair is completed.) Estimated completion date is October 10, 2022.

There is also a house on the North East corner of 5th St and K St., I don't know the address, that parks their van or car under a tree in their front yard daily.

 Thank you for our time.
