 Im residing RI , community is watermark. reason im writing a letter of inquiry about a an item G zoning code , I believed builder did not follow this rule right side garage side house to fence is only 4 ft another 4 ft for neighbors house total 8 ft only 

per below we should have 10 ft clearance .This is fire safety hazard and privacy as well too close

  G.    Distance Between Residences. Notwithstanding the front and rear yard setbacks set forth above, the minimum distance between living residences on adjacent lots shall be ten (10) feet except that for zero lots, it shall be eight feet at the garage and twelve (12) feet otherwise.
