City Council Vacancy with Term Ending 2026

The City of Lathrop City Council is seeking applications for a City Council vacancy with term ending December 2026. Applications are due January 2, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. to the Lathrop City Hall, attention City Clerk, 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop, CA, 95330, in person or email to website_cco@ci.lathrop.ca.us. A Special City Council Meeting will be held to consider the applications and appointment.  Said meeting will be held on January 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., City Hall Council Chamber, 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop, CA, at which time all interested parties may attend and be heard.

Government Code Section 36512(b)(2) states that if the council fills the vacancy by appointment, the person appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office until the next general municipal election that is scheduled to be held on November 3, 2026, and thereafter until the person who is elected at that election to fill the vacancy has been qualified and sworn into office.
