Statement of Economic Interests

The California Political Reform Act (Government Code Sections 81000-91014) requires every elected official and public employee who makes or influences governmental decisions is required to submit a Statement of Economic Interest, also known as the Form 700. The Form 700 provides transparency and ensures accountability in two ways:

  1. It provides necessary information to the public about an official’s personal financial interests to ensure that officials are making decisions in the best interest of the public and not enhancing their personal finances.
  2. It serves as a reminder to the public official of potential conflicts of interest so the official can abstain from making or participating in governmental decisions that are deemed conflicts of interest.

The following public officials are identified in Government Code Section 87200 and file Statements of Economic Interest with the City Clerk:

  • Members of the City Council
    • Mayor Paul Akinjo
    • Councilmember (Unscheduled Vacancy)
    • Councilmember Minnie Diallo
    • Councilmember Diane Lazard
    • Councilmember Jennifer Torres-O'Callaghan
  • Members of the Planning Commission
    • Tosh Ishihara
    • George Jackson
    • Ash Ramilay
    • Gloryanna Rhodes
    • Paul Camarena
  • City Attorney
    • Salvador Navarrete
  • City Manager
    • Stephen Salvatore
  • Finance Director
    • Cari James

Employees designated in the City's Conflict of Interest Code are also required to file.
