City Council

City Council meetings are held at City Hall the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Agendas are available on Thursday at noon before each meeting. The official agenda is posted outside of city hall in a display case, at the Lathrop Post Office, Lathrop Community Center and at the Fire Station. Special meetings are scheduled and posted as needed.

Council meetings are taped and then televised on your local broadcast cable channel 97 at 7:00 PM on Tuesday and Noon on Wednesday following the Council Meeting.

SPOTLIGHT

JUNIOR POLICE ACADEMY - 2010

The Lathrop Police Department will be hosting its annual Junior Police Academy from June 14, 2010 through June 25, 2010 and adding a second session for this popular program July 12, 2010 through July 23, 2010.  The academy is open to fifth through eighth grade students from Lathrop.  Students must maintain at least a “C” grade average, and have no criminal contact with the Lathrop Police Services. 

The cost for the academy is NO CHARGE AT THIS TIME - HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

School / Community Resource Officer

Andrea Lopez is proud to announce (3) D.A.R.E. graduating classes during 09/10 school year. She is very proud of the students!

Conngratulations to another successful D.A.R.E. year to the 292 Fifth Grade Students at Lathrop Elementary Schools.  A special thanks to the Lathrop-Manteca Fire District firefighters for serving ice cream and cupcakes to the students after the ceremony.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2010

Join Lathrop’s 2010 “National Night Out” Citywide Block Party, Tuesday, August 3, 2010.  This is a citywide project that brings members of Lathrop’s neighborhoods together for an evening of food, friendship and community solidarity against drugs and criminal activity.  It is sponsored by the City of Lathrop and your Lathrop Police Department.  Please contact Deputy Andrea Lopez, Community Resource Officer, at 858-5551 ext. Lathrop Citizens Police Academy Graduation

Congratulations to the eight adult Lathrop residents who graduated from the second Lathrop Citizens Academy.  Graduation took place at the completion of the 10 week course, April 2008.   Watch for upcoming information on this  next Citizens Academy which will take place in the spring
