Housing Element Update Workshop

City Council meetings are held at City Hall the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Agendas are available on Thursday at noon before each meeting. The official agenda is posted outside of city hall in a display case, at the Lathrop Post Office, Lathrop Community Center and at the Fire Station. Special meetings are scheduled and posted as needed.

Council meetings are taped and then televised on your local broadcast cable channel 97 at 7:00 PM on Tuesday and Noon on Wednesday following the Council Meeting.

The City of Lathrop is in the process of updateing the Housing Element section of its General Plan. The information included in the Housing Element includes:

City's Existing and Projected Needs
Inventory of Existing Housing Stock
Constraints on Housing
Identifies Potential Future Sites for Housing
Proposed Goals
Proposed Policies and Programs to Meet Needs

The City of Lathrop held a community workshop on April 2, 2009 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 390 Towne Centre Drive, Lathrop CA. 95330 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The information presented at those workshops can be found in the links below.

The Draft Housing Element Update has been sent to the State of California Housing and Community Development Department for review and Comment. A copy of this Draft can downloaded by clicking on the link below. An Initial Study and Negative Declaration have been supmited for review and is being circulated for 30 days beginning May 18, 2009. Comments should be submitted to the City of Lathrop Community Developement Department NO LATER THAN 6:00 P.M. ON JUNE 18, 2009.
